Sharks Waive Skinner, Set to End Contract
The San Jose Sharks place veteran forward Jeff Skinner on unconditional waivers Monday, mutually agreeing to terminate his one-year, $3 million deal after a disappointing stint. Skinner, the former Calder winner who's bounced from Buffalo to Edmonton before landing in the Bay, hasn't suited up since mid-January and sits with just six goals in 36 games amid healthy scratches.
