Minnesota fans finally get a quote that does not sound like it was drafted in a submarine. Quinn Hughes' answer on re-signing is the kind of thing that sends people straight to the salary cap calculator, because hope in the NHL is usually rented, not owned. The Wild have work to do if they want to turn that opening into something real, but the fact that the conversation is even alive says plenty.
