Blue Jackets Send Elick to AHL Cleveland

The Columbus Blue Jackets reassign promising defenseman Charlie Elick to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters, where the 6'4" second-round pick from last summer's NHL Draft joins on an ATO to wrap up his junior season. Elick, who already signed his entry-level deal and split time between WHL clubs after a midseason trade, gets a pro taste without burning ELC years as Cleveland eyes the playoffs.
