Predators ink Eeli Tolvanen to new 3-year deal worth $4.35 million
The Nashville Predators re-signed forward Eeli Tolvanen to a three-year, $4.35 million contract on Monday.
The 22-year-old restricted free agent scored 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 40 games last season. He also led the Predators with six power-play goals.
Tolvanen has 24 points (12 goals, 12 assists) in 47 games since Nashville drafted him in the first round (30th overall) in 2017.

The Finnish born winger was a star in the KHL playing for Jokerit. During the 2017-18 season, as a teenager he potted 19 goals and 36 points in 49 contests.
He made his debut for the Predators on March 31, 2018 against the Sabres as the fifth youngest player for the franchise. It took a while for Tolvanen to crack the Preds’ lineup with some critics viewing him as a bust.
Tolvanen now appears to be on the right track for his career, and is starting to look every bit the highly touted prospect that was selected just several years ago.
