Forward Derick Brassard signed a one-year contract worth $825,000 with the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.

Brassard will reunite with Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault when he joins his ninth NHL team. Vigneault also was his bench boss with the New York Rangers during the team’s run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014.

Brassard was selected by the Blue Jackets with the sixth overall pick in the 2006 NHL Draft.
