One potential trade candidate is 27 year-old pending UFA Alex Iafallo of the L.A. Kings. The belief is that if the two sides can’t come to an agreement today he could be traded by 3PM ET. Now the latest news is that both sides are making some headway and it is possible that a deal may be reached in time.

Sabres publicly state they won’t trade Linus Ullmark

Linus Ullmark is the kind of player the Sabres need to keep. He is a UFA this summer and the two sides are unlikely to come to terms today. However, they did state contrary to rumors they will not be trading him as they will continue to negotiate into the off season.
