NHL Trade Bait: Tony DeAngelo tops the list

The Rangers 25 year-old defenseman was warned numerous times but did not listen to his coach or GM. The final straw came after an altercation with his goaltender Alexandar Georgiev.
Last year’s fourth leading scorer among defenseman is now sitting at home waiting for a trade. Teams reported interested are the Flames, Kings, Ducks, and Red Wings.
Conflicting reports suggest a trade for Sam Bennett is being discussed, but Darren Dreger did say a deal could happen within days.
NHL Trade Bait: Vince Dunn and other defensemen on the board
The St. Louis Blues have put Vince Dunn on the trade block but thus far no takers. It was reported that at one time the Penguins were close but then Jim Rutherford shockingly resigned.
Also on this list are the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Travis Dermott and Montreal Canadiens’ Victor Mete. Dermott is currently injured but was linked to Sam Bennett in a deal with the Flames. Mete has requested a trade but the Habs are in no rush there.
NHL Trade Bait: Three new forwards join the mayhem

As we mentioned earlier, Sam Bennett has been rumored to be involved in a trade for a defenseman. Whether that happens or not is questionable since reports out of Calgary say nothing’s imminent. Which probably means he’ll be traded in the next 24 hours.
Nick Kypreos is reporting that Derek Stepan may be available. He and his co-host Doug MacLean noted that Stepan’s family is in Arizona with a newborn. Quarantine issues make seeing his family difficult and could be a major issue here.
Finally, Phillip Danault has been added to the list. While a trade isn’t imminent, it is worth keeping an eye on when the deadline approaches. He turned down the Canadiens contract offer in September. No progress has been made and Montreal has reportedly stopped talks.
