NHL suspends Dylan Larkin one game for roughing up Mathieu Joseph
Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has been suspended one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday.
The scheduled hearing determined discipline for roughing Tampa Bay Lightning forward Mathieu Joseph in a game Thursday night
Larkin, received a match penalty, which occurred with 8:20 left in the second period of the Lightning’s 7-6 win in Detroit. Joseph was hit with a minor penalty on the same sequence.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Larkin will forfeit $30,500.00. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
The Red Wings are scheduled to host the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
