Over the last few weeks some new names have come to light as possible trade bait candidates. Additionally, some other names have moved either up or down on the list.
Let’s take a look at the latest. Stick with us all season as we will update this list regularly.

Trade Status: Available
Destinations: PHI, NYI, BOS, NYR
Notes: Until Tarasenko rescinds his trade request, which he hasn’t, he’ll remain atop the board.

Trade Status: Available
Destinations: FLA, NYR, PIT, CAR
Notes: Kessel has been trying to escape the desert since the summer and is a prime trade deadline rental.

Trade Status: Available
Destinations: NYI, COL
Notes: There was some thought that the Flames would extend him this summer but it never came to be. Gaudreau has told the press he isn’t talking about his contract.

Destinations: NYR, BOS, PIT, TOR, DAL, MIN
Notes: GM Ron Francis already said he isn’t opposed to trading the veteran. He will be a UFA, so he’s a prime rental.

Notes: Hertl is a pending UFA with a history of knee injuries. He’s open to a deal with the Sharks but made it a point he wants to play for a winner. He could be moved at the trade deadline.

Notes: 2020 Playoff Hero is on the outs in Dallas and just cleared waivers. Teams are interested but some salary will need to be retained.

Notes: Vancouver has been winning and while teams are interested, it looks like he is staying put for now.
