If there is one Maple Leaf, just or unjustly under fire, it is goalie Frederik Andersen. The 31 year-old net minder is entering the final year of a deal that comes with an AAV of $5 million.

Many experts do not feel Andersen is the problem, and he’s more a victim of bad defense. However, the position notoriously comes with all the blame, and all the glory too.

One possibility is that as the deadline nears, and Marc-Andre Fleury is still available. There could be a swap there. It would take some cap eating by Vegas, but it makes a lot of sense.
