NHL Rumors: Rangers in on Vince Dunn, and Sam Bennett ask for a trade from Flames
The St. Louis have made it known that Vince Dunn is available, and the speculation is they are looking for a first round pick. A number of teams have been rumored to be in including the Flyers, Jets, and Canucks.
NHL Rumors: Rangers in on Vince Dunn
Vince Dunn is just 24 years-old and has a nice contract with an AAV of $1.875 million. He will be an RFA at the end of this season. According to Frank Seravalli, the Blues have engaged with a lot of teams on Dunn.
As expected, the New York Rangers who are still building for the future have interest in Dunn as well. Currently, the Rangers have rotated two aging veterans in and out of the lineup on left defense. Both Jack Johnson and Brendan Smith have struggled to seize the role.

Libor Hajek is still stuck on the taxi squad and has not been able to leapfrog over either of them. It’s now getting to a point in NY where struggling to protect leads late is starting to frustratingly mount.
The Rangers don’t need their first round pick as much as some other teams do, but would still like to keep it. Is there a chance another high defensive prospect gets it done? As long as it isn’t Nils Lundkvist or Braden Schneider it’s possible. Maybe Matthew Robertson with a 2nd round pick gets it done.
Stay tuned on this one.
NHL Rumors: Sam Bennett asks for a trade out of Calgary
Elliotte Friedman on Saturday Headlines revealed that Sam Bennett wants a “change of scenery”. The Flames aren’t in any rush to accommodate the 24 year-old forward’s request, but he is certainly a name to watch.
This season, Bennett has only one assist in six games and has been pushed further down the lineup as a result. He’s in the final year of a 2-year deal with an AAV of $2.55 million and will be an RFA with arbitration rights this summer.
