NHL Rumors: P.K. Subban a Bruins trade target, Tanner Pearson on the block, Maple Leafs and Hurricanes looking at Mikael Granlund
The NHL Rumors mill is starting to ramp up and that means some new names entering the fray. There’s a lot of unknowns in the flat cap era but one thing remains constant, Cup contenders will try to add to their rosters.
NHL Rumors: PK Subban could get traded
There was a lot of talk early in the season that the NJ Devils may expose PK Subban to the Seattle Kraken in the expansion draft. Now there’s some thought that the dynamic defender, who doesn’t have a no-trade clause could get moved at the deadline.
In a new article by Scott Burnside of The Athletic, he spoke with a source familiar with the Devils organization that believes Subban could very well be moved.
Furthermore, Burnside cites the Boston Bruins who are in the market for a defenseman and will have cap space at the deadline could be the trade partner. They may even then decide to use Subban to protect some of their other blue-liners by exposing him to the draft.

NHL Rumors: Tanner Pearson may be moved at the deadline
Tanner Pearson is a pending UFA this summer and unless they can negotiate a deal, the Canucks may move him. Darren Dreger provided the update last night on TSN’s Insider Trading.
The 28 year-old forward has nine points in 27 games this season. His current cap hit is $3.75M and he’s not likely to make too much more on his next deal.
Teams that may have interest are the Arizona Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Carolina Hurricanes.
NHL Rumors: Leafs and Hurricanes looking at forward depth
Mikael Granlund is almost definitely getting traded at the deadline. Two teams that will likely battle for his services are the Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes.
“This one speaks to me and it tells me it’s going to be the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Aaron Ward said about where Granlund can land. He also mentioned the Carolina Hurricanes as another possible destination.
