NHL Rumors: Knights owner not trading Marc-Andre Fleury, Bobby Ryan trade bait, and Flames tired of Matthew Tkachuk?
In today’s latest edition of NHL Rumors, we start in Vegas where a certain goalie’s name needs to come off the trade bait board.
NHL Rumors: Marc-Andre Fleury not getting traded
Golden Knight’s owner Bill Foley has told Marc-Andre Fleury he will retire in Vegas. He was a guest on the Cam and Strick Podcast and was pretty baffled by some of the trade rumors that came out regarding his goalie.
When pointedly asked if he blocked a Fleury trade, he claimed “I wouldn’t say that.” Foley went on to discuss that they had conversations about many different things but he has no desire to trade either of his goalies.
NHL Rumors: Bobby Ryan a great trade rental candidate
Sportsnet’s Luke Fox recently looked at trade rental candidates and mentioned Detroit’s Bobby Ryan. The 33 year-old signed a one year deal at $1 million after being bought out by the Senators this offseason.
He currently has 5 goals and 9 points in 19 games on an offensively challenged Red Wings team. Ryan along with Marc Staal give Steve Yzerman two highly desired veterans to accelerate his rebuild.
NHL Rumors: Flames players tired of Matthew Tkachuk’s antics?

Matthew Tkachuk only knows how to play the game one way, but apparently some of his teammates aren’t thrilled with his nightly antics.
Elliotte Friedman on a recent 31 Thoughts Podcast got into what happened after the Jake Muzzin puck-flip incident.
“I think Tkachuk was really frustrated by what happened. That whole puck flipping thing led to a meeting that I think just sent them sideways. I think Tkachuk feels that some of the players didn’t want him to create something every game and I think he’s confused by that. I think he understands only how to play the game a certain way and I think he’s questioning it now. “

I doubt this is going to lead to any trade talk, but it is certainly an intriguing story to monitor.
