NHL Rumors: Kings sign Andreas Athanasiou, and Coyotes closing in on Derick Brassard

The L.A. Kings have added some more speed to their lineup with Andreas Athanasiou. The 26 year-old pivot scored 11 goals and 26 points in 55 games last season between Detroit and Edmonton.

NHL Rumors: Kings sign Athanasiou

Athanasiou signs on with L.A. after a very disappointing run with the Oilers. The deal is for one year and an AAV of $1.2 million.

L.A. hopes that he can find his scoring touch again. In 2018-19 Athanasiou scored 30 goals and 54 points in 76 points for the Red Wings.

NHL Rumors: Coyotes close to signing Derick Brassard

Multiple reports are coming out that the Arizona Coyotes are closing in on a one year deal with UFA center Derick Brassard. He will most likely take the spot in the lineup vacated by Derek Stepan after his trade to Ottawa.
