NHL Rumors: Keith Yandle not a fit for the Bruins, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on the way out, and Patrik Laine a Blue Jacket
The Florida Panthers have opened up the season with two straight wins and Keith Yandle has scored in each contest. Is he slowly but surely upping his value?
NHL Rumors: Keith Yandle not a fit for Boston Bruins
There was plenty of buzz recently that Keith Yandle would be willing to move his no-trade clause to play for the Boston Bruins. However, in Elliotte Friedman’ last 31 Thoughts Blog he believes otherwise.
“There’s a lot of speculation that he would be willing to waive to Boston. I’m not convinced there’s a match, however,” Friedman wrote. “The Bruins have been extremely careful not to add long-term money. It doesn’t fit their current activity.”
I wouldn’t bury the possibility of trade with Boston, that’s all I’ll say.
NHL Rumors: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to trade bait?

The conversations between fan favorite Nugent-Hopkins and the Oilers have come to a screeching halt. From being close to signing an extension, to then being told anything over $7 million per is a non starter, it looks like Ryan will be at the top of this year’s trade bait board.
NHL Rumors: Patrik Laine a Blue Jacket
Patrik Laine is day-today for the Winnipeg Jets. One team that could very end up with Laine are the Columbus Blue Jackets. There was speculation about a one-for-one swap with Pierre-Luc Dubois but the latter has already expressed his interest in playing for the Canadiens.
Here’s what could possibly go down at some point this season. Jarmo Kekalainen being the smart GM he is will trade Dubois in a 3-way deal. Involved will be both the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets.
Dubois to the Habs, while Nick Suzuki and others land in Winnipeg, leaving Laine to Columbus.
Let that sit for awhile.
