More NHL rumors for today and we start with a top free agent goaltender and his possible destinations. Also another trade was made today and we will take a look at that.
NHL Rumors – Braden Holtby landing spots
When it comes to goalies available, Braden Holtby is a Stanley Cup winner with plenty left in the tank. The goaltender is coming off a deal with a cap hit of $6.1 million and may have to take a moderate raise to land with a contender.
In a new article in The Athletic, four top destinations are:
- Calgary Flames
- Edmonton Oilers
- Carolina Hurricanes
- San Jose Sharks
NHL Rumors – slow week?
Darren Dreger spoke with a league GM to ask why it seems to be quiet a week out from the draft. “I would say that with the pandemic and flat cap for the next two to three years, the market is constipated right now,” he relayed.
