NHL Rumors Roundup: Max Domi, Jesper Fast, Zdeno Chara and more
Today’s NHL rumors takes us North of the Border, to NYC, to Boston, and other places. Let’s kick it off with the latest news out of Montreal.
NHL Rumors Max Domi
News out of Montreal is that Max Domi has fired his agent Pat Brisson per the Montreal Gazette. According to the report:
A source confirmed Sunday night that Domi has fired agent Pat Brisson, who is a longtime close friend of Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin. Former Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty also fired Brisson as his agent two years ago after Bergevin attempted to trade him to the Los Angeles Kings.
Domi is a 25 year-old restricted free agent now and the Montreal Canadiens will likely be looking to trade his rights at the draft. Earlier rumors already have him pegged for Pittsburgh.
NHL Rumors Jesper Fast

Earlier today I spoke with someone close to Jesper Fast that states the RW is very likely heading to free agency. According to the source, the Rangers have not had any substantial talks with Jesper Fast this offseason and there will be plenty of teams that would love to have him. One of those teams could be the Nashville Predators for which he was linked to at the NHL trade deadline this past season.

NHL Rumors Zdeno Chara
The Boston Bruins were eliminated yesterday and now the rumors of Zdeno Chara retiring have begun to swirl. When asked about it, Chara said very clearly, “I haven’t made a decision.”
So what is to come for the 43 year-old veteran of 18 hard NHL years? “I’m going to be open minded,” he said. Chara is now an unrestricted free agent and there doesn’t appear to be a market for him.
