NHL Rumors: Bruins looked at Pierre-Luc Dubois trade, Ottawa Senators not done dealing, and more
The NHL Rumor Mill is going to churn with the Columbus Blue Jackets’ Pierre-Luc Dubois for a while. Even though he signed a new deal, it was only for two-years and he may be gone before or by the time it’s done.
NHL Rumors: Boston Bruins checked in on Pierre-Luc Dubois
NHL trade chatter was picking up again Friday and an NHL source has confirmed to Boston Hockey Now that the Boston Bruins have looked into what it may take to acquire disgruntled Columbus Blue Jackets budding star forward Pierre-Luc Dubois. The source stressed that this was completely exploratory and for now.

As one team executive told me, Dubois will not be easy to acquire and the price will be steep. I was also told that trading within the Metro Division is unlikely, and more probable to send him out West.

NHL Rumors: Senators still open to trade options
The Senators have been one of the more active teams in the NHL this offseason. In a recent interview, Pierre Dorion was asked about trades for Derek Stepan, Cedric Paquette, and Braydon Coburn. Particularly if he was done dealing.
“You never know,” he began. “The most important thing is our fans have to be aware, we are trying to build the best team possible. We are trying to create as much internal competition as possible. Some of these trades have been talked about for a while.”
“It’s going to be difficult to make trades with the 24 U.S.-based teams just because every player that crosses the border has to do a 14-day quarantine,” he continued to explain. “Are we done? You never know what can happen. You never know what can be thrown your way, even 24 hours before the season starts.”
