NHL Rumors: Bruins to trade Krug’s rights, Ekman-Larsson trade, and more
We have just a little over a week to go before the NHL Draft. The days leading up to it will be any fan of NHL rumors dream. Let’s get to it.
NHL Rumors – Torey Krug’s rights to be traded
Torey Krug already said he’s done taking team favorable deals. He is headed to Free Agency and will have plenty of offers. The Bruins know his intentions so they will be trading his rights this week for a mid to late round pick. That’s just good asset management for Boston. I like Detroit and Vegas as potential suitors for a trade.
NHL Rumors – Who started the Ekman-Larsson rumors?

Pierre Lebrun recently spoke with new Arizona Coyotes GM, Bill Armstrong and they touched on plenty of topics. When Pierre asked about Oliver Ekman-Larsson he had something very interesting to say.
“Well, I think other people have really pushed it out there,” said Armstrong. “But he’s our captain…I’ve heard his name splashed around everywhere but I can tell you I haven’t splashed his name around. So, it’s a situation where I’ll have to explore why his name is out there as much as it is, because at the end of the day, he’s got a no-trade clause. If you’ve got a no-trade clause, it’s not the club that’s splashing it around, you know?”
As of now, I don’t think OEL will be moved.
NHL Rumors – Henrik Lundqvist’s brother Joel kills Frolunda reunion rumors
Yesterday after a 2-0 victory, Joel Lundqvist decided it was time to end anymore questions coming his way about Henrik joining Frolunda. “No. That door is closed. I can say that. It’s not going to happen,” Joel answered.
“There is a lot that comes into play in such a decision,” Joel continued. “But I get that question constantly and just to kill speculation and other things, a reunion will not be the case.”
NHL Rumors – No Steen buyout and Pietrangelo update

According to a new report in The Athletic, it sounds like Alex Steen will not be bought out. That will make it harder to find the money to keep Alex Pietrangelo. There is also a suggestion that the Blues could trade Marco Scandella in order to find that cap space.
The general feeling around the hockey world is that there will be at least one more attempt to keep Pietrangelo this week. If he hits the market, two teams that are rising to the top of potential destination are the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers.
