NHL Rumors: Blue Jackets looking for goal scoring
The Jackets made a move to improve their offense when they traded Josh Anderson for Max Domi. With $9.2 million in cap space, Columbus is going to try to target a forward.
Mike Hoffman may be too rich for Jarmo Kekalainen’s blood but Mikael Granlund and Erik Haula are right up his alley. In our latest UFA update, Haula was the name most attached to the Jackets. However, Elliotte Friedman believes that either Hoffman or Granlund will be a Jacket soon.

Pierre-Luc Dubois update
Speaking of Blue Jackets offense, they need to get Pierre-Luc Dubois signed. According to Friedman, he is confident that they will get something done. Apparently, the Jackets are trying to do move Brandon Dubinsky’s contract as he will not play this season due to a chronic wrist injury.
Bruins need to lock up Jake DeBrusk
The Bruins lost Torey Krug, and there’s no certainty what Zdeno Chara will do. They missed out on big UFA’s like Alex Pietrangelo and Taylor Hall so now what?
Here’s an idea, the Bruins need to get 24 year-old RFA Jake DeBrusk signed. The kid is a just a really good all-around hockey player. One issue Boston has is limited cap space at around $6.6 million. They also need to get another player signed after DeBrusk to get to at least a 22 man roster.
According to DJ Bean at NBC Sports, he figures a short term deal at $4 million makes the most sense. The B’s simply need to get this one done.
