NHL News: Sabres GM forced to coach as staff hit with COVID, Maple Leafs Frederik Andersen out another week, and more

Out of the frying pan and into the fire for Sabres GM Kevyn Adams. As if he didn’t have enough on his plate, interim head coach Don Granato and assistant Matt Ellis have entered COVID protocols. Aside from having to deal with a difficult trade deadline, Adams will also try and end the Sabres 15 game winless streak against the Penguins tonight.

NHL News: Maple Leafs will be without Andersen for another week

Toronto will continue to be without their number one goalie Frederik Andersen for at least another week. It does make one wonder if Kyle Dubas wouldn’t at least try and add another depth goalie to his roster/taxi squad.
