NHL News: Blues ink Mike Hoffman, and some big names on placed on waivers
The St. Louis Blues made it official today and signed Mike Hoffman to a one year deal worth $4 million.

When the Blues signed Hoffman to a PTO, there was a little confusion at first. The team was up against the cap but utilizing LTIR for some of their injured players they can now fit in the 30 year-old Hoffman.
Last season, he led the Florida Panthers with 29 goals and 59 points in 69 contests. Hoffman is good for at least 20 goals a season as he’s done six straight times. He has scored 359 points in 493 games for his career.

Some big names have hit the waiver wire today
As teams start cutting players and sending them down to the minors, a few eye catchers hit the waiver wire today.
