NHL injury bug claims Winnipeg Jets star Nikolaj Ehlers and Calgary Flames Noah Hanifin
The NHL injury bug has been working overtime these last few weeks. Reports out of Winnipeg have Jets scoring star Nikolaj Ehlers out for the remainder of the season. The Jets are hopeful that Ehlers will return for the playoffs.

“We’re confident and hopeful he’ll be back for the start of the playoffs,” head coach Paul Maurice said today. The 25 year-old was has a career year with 21 goals and 46 points in 47 games this season. His .97 points per game pace was blowing away last year’s career high of .81.
Flames Noah Hanifin done for the year

Nick Kypreos is reporting that the Flames’ Noah Hanifin is done for the season with surgery likely. The 24 year-old was injured early in Calgary’s last game to what appeared to be an issue with his left leg. Hanifin was having a great season with 15 points in 47 games and logging important minutes.
The Avalanche lose Brandon Saad
News coming out of Colorado today have them without the services of Brandon Saad for 2-4 weeks thanks to an LBI issue. He had 15 goals on the season for the Avs.
