NHL gets good news on COVID-19 cases before heading to Hub Cities

The NHL just released some great news today. As teams will begin wrapping up their respective training camps and started heading to Edmonton and Toronto, only two new positive cases are being reported.

NHL releases latest COVID-19 update

Per the NHL’s press release out of 2618 administered tests to over 800 players, just two came back positive for COVID-19. Those are incredible numbers as teams will get in two more practices before heading to their respective hub cities in either Toronto or Edmonton later this week.

Flooding in Edmonton

Late last week, Rogers Place in Edmonton suffered major flooding after a storm. Video leaked (pun intended) of a pipe burst that flooded the facility. It shows severe flooding in the area where fans enter and use the stairs or escalators to enter the arena.

The latest reports indicate that Rogers place will be fully repaired before teams arrive to start Phase 4 exhibition games.
