Maple Leafs playoff futility gets the meme treatment
This is not an easy time to be a fan of the Maple Leafs. To be fair, it’s not a walk in the park for Kyle Dubas, Sheldon Keefe, and every man in a Leafs uniform. The difference is many of them are already occupied with trying to fix what went wrong. They are not spending all day on social media like many fans.
Oh the poor Leafs Faithful.
“You’ve got to give credit to Montreal for the job that they did,” Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said. “Our guys were quite devastated after the game so I chose not to speak to the group after. Really hard to put it into words. We’re obviously devastated, disappointed. Expected better of ourselves, and we think we’re capable of a lot more, not just tonight but through the whole series.”

Maple Leafs memes pouring in after latest playoffs loss
Carey Price was the main reason why the Leafs were bounced in round one. Toronto will be left with tons of questions which includes losing John Tavares and Jake Muzzin to injury. Still, the Leafs inability to score with the likes of Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner in the lineup are confounding to say the least.
While the Leafs work on these matters the memes are coming in fast. Almost as soon as they lost memes started pouring in. The internet has a keen ability to add insult to injury and those who dislike the Leafs wasted no time.
First off, the infamous Spider-Man meme depicting years of Leafs playoff failures.
Then the backhanded insult.
Which was followed by the feigning of sympathy by BarDown.
And finally, the most brutal one of them all…
