The Philadelphia Flyers activated forward Kevin Hayes off injured reserve and added him to the active roster ahead of Saturday’s home game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

He has missed the last 17 games with a lower-body injury. He underwent a procedure on Jan. 18 to drain fluid from his adductor region.

Hayes, 31, has three goals and six assists in 20 games this season, his third with the Flyers and eighth in the NHL.

He has 310 points (130 goals, 180 assists) and 170 penalty minutes in 525 games with the New York Rangers (2014-19), Winnipeg Jets (2019) and Flyers. The Blackhawks drafted him in the first round in 2010.
