Evander Kane proposes hilarious counter to NHL suspending Ryan Reaves
Evander Kane took to Twitter to go after his old nemesis, Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves. Last night in the Avalanche’s embarrassing win over Vegas, Reaves was assessed a match penalty. He’s suspended pending a hearing.
Ryan Reaves to be suspended
At 15:49 of the third period, Reaves took matters into his own hands in front of the Avs net. He caused a scrum in front and punched goalie Phillip Grubauer in the back of the head. Then he forcefully threw down Ryan Graves and caused an injury. This was believed to be retribution for Graves’ earlier hit that injured Mattias Janmark.
When it was all said and done, Reaves was ejected and received 19 minutes in penalties on the play. “Reaves, he’s on a mission to go out there and hurt someone in the third,” Avs captain Gabriel Landeskog said. “That’s exactly what he does.”

Evander Kane proposes hysterical alternative to suspension
Sharks forward Evander Kane and Vegas’ Ryan Reaves aren’t big fans of one another. They had a Twitter spat earlier this season and it looks like Kane may want to renew it.
In a tweet, Kane writes: “Instead of a suspension they should have to play him 20 minutes a night for the rest of the series.” This was highlighted by a laughing with tears emoji.
Not for nothing, Kane might be onto something here.
