Ducks sign Max Comtois and two others RFAs to multi-year deals
The Anaheim Ducks signed forwards Max Comtois and Max Jones as well as defenseman Josh Mahura to multi-year contracts on Monday.
Comtois’ deal is for two years through the 2022-23 season, and Jones’ pact is for three seasons. Mahura’s two-year contract through the 2022-23 season is a two-way deal for the first season.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed. Reports indicate Comtois cap hit will be $2.037M.
Ducks sign Max Comtois
Comtois, 22, led the team in goals (16) and points (33) in 55 games last season. He has 51 points (23 goals, 28 assists) in 94 career games since being selected by Anaheim in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
Jones, 23, recorded 11 points (seven goals, four assists) in 46 games in 2020-21. He has 28 points (17 goals, 11 assists) in 135 career games since being picked by the Ducks in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
Mahura, 23, collected four points (one goal, three assists) in 13 games last season. He had 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 41 career games since being selected by Anaheim in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
