Columbus Blue Jackets already getting serious offers for Pierre-Luc Dubois
Was there ever any doubt that once Pierre-Luc Dubois trade demands became public there would be a major market for him?
Absolutely none.
Pierre-Luc Dubois a wanted man
Sportsnet’s top insider, Elliotte Friedman went on radio today and discussed the market for Dubois.
“I think Columbus starts the season with him, but I heard that teams are not screwing around when it comes to this guy’s availability. They aren’t playing games. They’re just saying, ‘we’re interested,’ and I think some of the preliminary offers, I think they made Columbus aware that they could make a good deal here when they decide to do it.”

This info is coming off the heels of TSN’s Insider Trading, where Pierre LeBrun named 7 teams that would be in on Dubois. They were the Ducks, Flames, Kings, Jets, Canadiens, Blackhawks, and Rangers.

What will the Blue Jackets do?
The situation in Columbus between the Blue Jackets and Pierre-Luc Dubois is going to be something to keep an eye on. It isn’t expected that GM Jarmo Kekalainen will make a rash or hasty move.
However, it does appear that not only does he have a number of suitors, he has serious offers.
“The word I got was that the Blue Jackets considered some of the potential moves intriguing, but I don’t know if that means they are going to do it now,” Friedman continued to explain. “I just think they know now that there’s a marketplace.”
That marketplace will only get bigger come the trade deadline and the next offseason.
