The Calgary Flames cancelled their morning skate after one of their players came back positive for COVID-19. They released a statement on the team’s website to address the situation.

The Calgary Flames will not hold a morning skate today as a precaution due to one positive player test from yesterday’s COVID-19 testing. The player is in isolation and all other staff/players have tested negative.

Tonight’s game between Calgary and the Montreal Canadiens is scheduled for 7:00 PM MT.

Calgary Flames cancel practice

The Flames are scheduled to take on the Montreal Canadiens in a crucial matchup for their playoff hopes. They currently sit 8 points back of the Habs for the final playoff spot in the North Division with 11 games left to play. Montreal has 12 games remaining on the calendar, but a big win by Calgary tonight can start to close the gap as this is the first of three straight against them.
