Boston Bruins Rumors: Jake DeBrusk could be a key piece to acquire Oliver Ekman-Larsson
The TSN Trade Bait List has been updated and a new name has entered the rumor mill. Jake DeBrusk of the Boston Bruins is an RFA that they may dangle and move at the draft. He currently sits at #7 on the list.

Now why would the Bruins put a 23 year-old player on the market? The left winger scored 35 points in 65 games last season and has 120 points in 203 career games. DeBrusk is a restricted free agent without arbitrations rights, so maybe they fear an offer sheet? That could be a reason.
Another Bruin on the list is Tuukka Rask, and it is quite possible he could be packaged in a deal to move his large contract. Or maybe another player with a big cap hit.

Another reason DeBrusk could be on the list is that he may be a key piece in trying to acquire Oliver Ekman-Larsson from Arizona. News is coming out that OEL may only waive to go to either Boston or Vancouver but no one is sure that the Canucks want his cap hit.
The Bruins are likely to lose Torey Krug to free agency and opt not to bring back Zdeno Chara. They want a new top blue-liner and it looks like this could be it for Boston.
